Real Wedding: Jenn & Matt

I am head over heels for this DIY Bohemian wedding that is sweet, colorful and perfectly beautiful! This wedding is so unique and so special with all of the personal touches and great details. I love that the couple used rainbow colors throughout the day, from the bridal party to the decor as a symbol of promise.
The wedding was held at a family friend's camp house .
I love the lighting in both of these images. The pictures are absolutely stunning.
Even her jewelry is rainbow!
The couple watered a tree together during the ceremony that they plan to plant behind their house and watch grow every day.
The groom's ring has "everlasting light" engraved into it which is the song the bride walked down the aisle to.
The couple's love of nature is intertwined throughout the decorations and details
All of the decorations were crafted by the bride, family and friends.

What I Love Wednesday!

I love...outdoor celebrations!

It's June! Time to be outdoors enjoying the sun, hanging out with friends and family, eating yummy food, and loving life. Outdoor celebrations are so versatile and can be styled for any occasion, so they're the perfect venue for any summer event.
Beach fiesta with stylish pillows and an elegant floral arrangement.
Whimsy picnic with rustic elements and romantic accents.
Colorful lakeside tea party that would also be perfect for a little one's birthday!
Secluded garden party just for two.
Switch up the tablescape with this cute alternative design.
Perfect picnic food!

How will you be celebrating this summer?

Creative Engagement Photos

Sorry for the lack of blogging this week! I've been super busy with my photojournalism class finishing up our final project.

Since my mind is in photography mode, today I'd like to share some fun and creative engagement photos that I love!
I love this picture because it's simple and so cute!
This is clever!
Kind of looks like a heart, right?

What I Love Wednesday!

I love...Prom!
Prom season is great because you get to dress up, dance, hang out with friends, and ride in limos. Could you ask for a better night? I also love prom because people come up with the cutest and most creative ways to ask a date! My alma mater, Bishop O'Dowd, recently held the Senior Ball at the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf in SF and I'm loving the pictures! Both of my best friend's sisters attended and they looked beautiful.
I really like the different styles, and I think each dress represents their personalities well!
More pretty dresses!
I think a lot of these dresses would make really cute bridesmaids outfits too!
This one is actually from Junior Prom, but I love the blue dress!

Real Wedding: Jen & Andrew

There's a beautiful hotel back home called The Claremont Hotel that I pass almost every day on my way to work.
I've always been in love with it, but I haven't been inside since I was a little kid. That's why I was so excited to see this gorgeous wedding at The Claremont from Dream A Little Dream Events. I did a mentor program with DALD last summer and this is exactly what I would expect from their amazing coordinators. The details are simple and classic, and very romantic. I hope you enjoy this lovely wedding in one of my favorite places!
St. Mary's chapel in Moraga.
I like the combination of short and tall center pieces. They add a great dynamic to the otherwise simple design.

Friday Fun!

I found a great party idea this week that sounds like so much fun. I can't wait to try it!
How to host a favorite things party in a four easy steps:

1. Have each of your guests bring five items of their favorite thing. This can anything from a favorite lip gloss, gift card to a favorite coffee shop, candy bar, etc. As long as it's $6 or less it counts. (The amount is open to discretion based on your guests, just let everyone know ahead of time)

2. As each guest arrives at the party, have them write their name on five slips of paper and throw them in a big bowl.

3. Pass the bowl around and have each person take five names, making sure not to take their own or double-up.

4. One at a time, each person describes their favorite thing, reads the five names they picked from the bowl and passes out their gift to those five lucky winners!

Once everyone has shared their favorite things, each guest should end up with five new gifts to take home. This is a fun way to learn about other people and get some cool stuff in the process!

Enjoy the weekend!

What I Love Wednesday!

I love...bling bling!

I mean, who doesn't? Engagement rings are my favorite though, and I love how you can match any style to your personality. Yes please, I'll take one of each!
Rings for days!
I love cushion cut! This is an elegant addition to a simple cushion cut.
Then again, if you don't find a style that fits you, make one! My teacher from high school designed her own ring and came up with this beautiful design! Thanks, Summer for letting me include your ring!
Cute idea!
Sleek and simple.
Non-traditional and gold.
What style do you love?
